With attitude so bad they've been signed to contract in Hired GunsΓäó, the first four-screen first-person shooter.
Atlanta, GA - May 28, 1998 - Its four times the action with Hired Guns™ from Psygnosis - the only first person shooter in which you simultaneously command and view the actions of four characters. Hired Guns™ is developed by Devil's Thumb Entertainment and uses the Unreal® 3D engine and level editor from Epic games. Offering near photo-realistic, real-time, neon-washed cyber-punk environments, Hired Guns features huge worlds and action around every corner. The shooting and action are balanced with puzzle-solving and strategic decision making. Multi-player options include Internet, LAN (up to 8) and modem.
Command a team of four mercenaries and view their actions from a first-person perspective in the unique quad screen view. Managing your team of four contract killers is key to survival and mission success. Your world is the Luyten planetary system colonized by humans following the overcrowding of Earth. But the three corporations, Tesseract, Betelov and Grenworld, who led the colonization, have become insecure and greedy and must defend themselves with groups of mercenaries who, terrorize the population. But there are pockets of resistance to this subjugation and amongst those first to turn is Kircher, a member of the Technolius society, who buys himself three mercenaries on the open market and sets out to end the tyranny. The team of four, Kircher, Osverger, Rorian Deevergh and Myriel, are compelling characters and display a hilarious amount of 'bad attitude'. In the game the characters can talk to each other with thousands of entertaining conversation possibilities.
Developed by Devil's Thumb Entertainment, Hired Guns will be available for PC CD-ROM in Q4 1998. Unreal is a registered trademark of Epic Mega games.
